Executive Director of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency (MSMEDA) Nevine Gamea said preparations are underway for holding the fourth edition of the Egyptian Handicrafts Exhibition Turathana 2022 under the auspices of President of Egypt Abdel Fattah El Sisi for the fourth consecutive year from October 9 to 15, 2022 at Egypt International Exhibitions Center, the fifth Settlement, Cairo. President of Egypt's interest in launching Turathna Exhibition every year, Gamea stated, comes as a direct message incarnating the Government of Egypt's commitment to reinvigorating micro, small and medium enterprise sector in particular and Egyptian crafts with traditional and cultural origin in particular. MSMEDA Executive Director added this message contributes to reviving the Egyptian identity and likewise complements the Government efforts to secure all financial, administrative, technical and marketing assistance these Egyptian crafts need to grow and prosper. This year, Gamea stressed, Turathna Exhibition in its fourth version, hosts Saudi Arabia as a guest of honor, the United Arab Emirates, Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, together with Sudan and Libya will participate with premium booths. This truly reflects the political will of the Government of Egypt to consolidate cooperation and foster liaisons that give rise to economic integration, accelerate trade exchange and promote the establishment of micro, small and medium enterprises among Egypt and Arab countries," Gamea reiterated. More than 1000 exhibitors from almost every governorate of Egypt will engage in Turathna Exhibition 2022 to display Egyptian crafts and masterpieces covering over 30 traditional arts Egypt is famous for. From among Egyptian innovative products to be presented in the Exhibition are hand-made carpets, textiles, furnishings, women accessories, glass products, embroideries, lightening units, leather, wooden, copper, wicker, palm leaf works, paintings, Sinai products, and pottery… Turathna Exhibition, annually organized under the auspices of President of Egypt, is rated the biggest Egyptian and Arab gathering that brings together artisans, innovators, artists, and entrepreneurs from everywhere in Egypt and many Arab countries as well to share knowledge, exchange experience, cast an eye over manufacturing stages and techniques and explore additional marketing opportunities.
